11. I know that studies show that there is a
tendency between people’s grades and how much physical activity they are
involved in in their daily lives.
22. I feel confident about the topic because I can
think of many ways to do surveys on the Internet and interview people in dining
halls anonymously while recording good information.
33. I would like to know the correlation between
grades and people who go to lift weights at the gym every day, just to see if
there is a reason for the stereotype of those people not being smart.
44. I played soccer and tennis my junior year of
high school. I thought that I might not have enough time for both commitments
and still do well in school. I found that they were my stress relievers and
that they helped me do better in school because the busier I am, the more
focused I am when it counts.
55. I believe that physical activity reduces stress,
which in turn can help improve one’s focus and attention for schoolwork, which
will lead to a higher GPA. I also know that those more adapted to the sedentary
lifestyle are more likely to not get work turned in on time and have
difficulties with classes.
66. The group on campus that we are studying is the
physically active student body of Virginia Tech.
77. Active, fit, unstressed, healthy, physical,
young.
88. Young, male, Hispanic, short, Catholic,
red-haired, pale.
99. We are all young, healthy males.
10. In order to keep our
information unaffected by more types of students than others, dining halls will be used to get
a wide sampling of the student population. When asking students their GPA, we
must also consider the course load they are taking and their major.
