Journal #10- Eric, Nick, Haleigh

After the small chaos of losing a member of our group we have gotten things settled down for this project, and now feel more comfortable with the load of work that we have left to do.  Our cover letter is looking a lot better than it did for our rough draft and I'm sure we will continue to look over it and make sure it keeps improving.  Initially we had a lot of people fill out our survey, but unfortunately the number of people filling it out is not increasing like it did before.  However, we still have plenty of surveys to fill out to get a decent result for our study.  If we had decided to survey more than just Virginia tech students we probably would have received more surveys, but we decided early on in this project that we wanted to stick strictly to students that go to Virginia tech.  In the survey we gave the participant an option to leave an email so they can be farther questioned, and it turns out that a good amount of people left an email for us to contact them.  We still have not yet contacted anyone, but we plan on it within the next week.  We also know of someone that works with relay for life that we can interview as well, and we are still looking for another person that works with a cancer awareness program in order to get insight as to what they do exactly.  Our group is really looking forward to setting these interviews up and finding out more information on this topic, and once we analyze the results from the surveys it will be interesting to see what results we find.  Most likely we will be getting all of these together within the next week, so that we do not fall behind on work like we were earlier in the project.
