Point of View from a Duck

Gotta get to the water. Thats my home! I wonder where the food is. Maybe those tall things that walk by here will have food with them. They like feeding us. All we have to do is walk over to them and we get some! It tastes good, but I feel sick sometimes after I eat it. I wonder where those tall things are. There aren't many here now that its cold. Gotta get back to the water. Then later I will get to a shelter with my friends. Maybe take a quick bath. Its cold now, so that limits things. Water, then food, then shelter. Anything extra isn't as important.

Point of View of an Environmentalist

All this trash and litter. It is destroying our environment. If people would only be more conscientious, we wouldn't have to deal with this mess. Don't they understand what this is doing to us? I look at this debris in the water and I am disgusted. Pollution in the Duck Pond? Look how beautiful this land is. Who would want to destroy it? People these days just don't care anymore. I should make a petition to clean up the duck pond; then maybe we can get rid of this trash. I wish people were as passionate about keeping the Earth clean as I am. Maybe one day they will understand the severity of what they are doing...

Point of View of a Child

When I am older and rich and famous, I'm going to live in a tree house. This tree would be perfect, it is so big, and fun to climb. I could have slides and tunnels and a rope swing! My dad didn't give me a tree house, so I'm going to get one myself. Ill even put a TV in it, and I can watch TV whenever I want! Ill dig a huge river around it so no one else can get to it without my permission; it will be like a castle. Then I can also have a zip-line that goes straight into the water when its warmer! I bet I will have a lot of duck and squirrel friends. My duck friend Francis can be there too, he likes me. We can swim together! But not now, its cold. Maybe I can get my mom to give me hot chocolate. Then, later, I'll build my new house.
