Evaluating Sources- Kevin Stefanye

11)   My author’s name Is Laura J. Soloman. Laura Solomon is a research professor of family medicine and psychology at the university of Vermont, and has helped publish numerous other works such as “Financial incentives for smoking cessation among pregnant and newly postpartum women, The natural history of efforts to stop smoking: A prospective cohort study, and A randomized, controlled trial of NRT-aided gradual vs. abrupt cessation in smokers actively trying to quit.” It seems she has a lot of experience with people attempting to quit smoking, which can also be linked with procrastination as they may put off quitting to a later point in time.
2  2) I found the article on http://psycnet.apa.org, which is a search engine for topics pertaining to psychology. The article was originally published in the Journal of Counseling Psychology in October of 1984 by the US: American Psychological Association. The audience for the publication would probably be professionals who are looking to find out detailed information and case studies for psychological fields. The website does not convey contact information for the publisher or the authors, although we can find the contact information by a Google search.
3)he purpose of this text is to inform people about academic procrastination, and how it affects students daily. The text uses 16 different sources to convey its message, and all of the sources are cited at the bottom. These sources are primary sources written by other professors at other universities. Since this is a scholarly source, I did not expect to find any biases, and there do not seem to be any biases in the writing. This is an online source that I obtained from the Google-Scholar search engine, and the website seems very reliable. It ends in .org, which usually has very credible websites. Unfortunately, this article is nearly 30 years old, and may need to be updated. I think that an online website similar to this one, but maybe a bit more recent would be perfect for my project.
44)his is my first scholarly source, so it is much more credible than my previous sources. This gives me a professional’s insight on a specific aspect of procrastination, which may help me to understand procrastination as a whole. I think that using this source will strengthen my argument because it gives factual information and it has some very interesting points in it.
